The panel, titled How to Talk About Teen Depression, will feature Q&A from the cast in order to get a more personal understanding of what works and what doesn't when it comes to adolescent mental health. A screening will accompany the discussion for as many as 2,000 attendees from school boards around the state, offering a unique opportunity for more schools to adopt Tough Hope.
Creating a safe space for discussion is a complex challenge, different in every school district and even in different classrooms. We've discovered that students have a lot more to talk about than they might typically reveal. The honest, personal experiences offered by the cast of Tough Hope help to create that space.
This event represents the culmination of everything Tough Hope sets out to do, coupled with real-world application and the lessons learned from it. It is a rare opportunity for constructive discussion about how to best help our struggling teens.
